Sharina is a qualified mental health professional who has a variety of experiences with adults, youth and children. Sharina has most recently contracted with the HELP agency as a Community Counselor in the Chicago Public School system where she worked with youth and adolescents experiencing serious emotional and behavioral issues, including trauma exposure.
Sharina also has experience with specialty populations of re-entry counseling where she worked with male and female adults and juveniles on parole and probation to reintegrate them back into their communities.
Additionally, she provided therapy and case management with individuals struggling with substance use disorders, as well as experience counseling individuals and homeless families. Sharina is passionate about continuing her education and knowledge in the field of counseling to further her skills and expertise.
Sharina is a single, bi-racial female with two sons ages 5 and 6. She was born and raised in Seattle, Washington but has lived in the greater Chicagoland area since 2011. Sharina’s favorite hobby is traveling. She has been to over nine different countries as she enjoys exploring new places and learning about new cultures. She also enjoys trying new restaurants, shopping, baking, watching movies, playing video games on occasion, and doing makeup.
