Mia has 10+ years of experience in working with individuals and families impacted by various forms of trauma, with a specialty in counseling children and adolescents In Care of DCFS. Mia previously worked in the State of Louisiana as an Investigator for The Department of Children and Family Services.
As an outpatient therapist, she has extensive experience working with families within their home and communities offering community-based counseling services. Additionally, Mia has 3 years experience working with children & adolescents in Chicago Public Schools as she held the position of Dean of Students, as well as, Counselor/Youth Intervention Specialist.
Mia is a dedicated mother and spouse passionate about helping others through the glory of Christ. Born and raised on the southside of Chicago, Mia was the first of her generation to attend and graduate a four-year university and pursue continuing education. She enjoys family time and traveling around the world whenever possible. Her favorite place to visit to date is Venice, Italy.
