Mildred Holmes is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. She has over 25 years of clinical experience working with individuals and families impacted by various forms of trauma, specializing in treating women and adolescents who have experience domestic violence and sexual abuse. She has an array of counseling work experience in private practice and in education/government settings. Mildred served as Department Chair of Counseling at Joliet Junior College for over 7 years, and served as lead Crisis and Intervention Manager, assisting an array of clients through high stress and toxic situations. Additionally, she has worked as a Military and Family Life Counselor, assisting active duty service members and their families.

Mildred is a wife and mother of two adult children and two beautiful grandchildren, and is a strong supporter and champion of diversity/equity and standing up for those who believe they have no voice or have not had the same privileges that so many in our society take for granted. In her spare time, she is active with several organizations that support and assist those in need of an array of social, political, and economic services.
