Mr. Witherspoon oversees H.E.L.P.’s Restorative Justice Practices initiatives to change the culture and climate of schools and improve student behavior by coaching educators, conducting professional staff developments and holding student peace circles at over 120 different public schools. He also supervises H.E.L.P.’s high yield out-of-school time programming that includes tutoring, homework assistance, mentoring and SEL groups.

Mr. Witherspoon is a driven and compassionate social service executive with an entrepreneurial spirit who is able to blend his love of fashion, culture and consciousness. He is a sought-after administrator that has provided grant management and leadership over several Community Schools partnerships for the past two decades, with a special emphasis on addressing the needs of underserved residents in communities on the southside of Chicago. He is also a trained circle keeper and youth development professional that has built a career focused on the needs of African American and Latino youth.
