Kenneth Strickland, M.A.

QUALIFIED MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL

Kenneth has ten years of experience working with youth using meditation and mindfulness in schools, specializing in mindfulness-based trauma-informed counseling. Kenneth previously worked at Duke University as an intern Counselor and at Growing Home, implementing a farm-based wellness program. He has extensive experience working with boys and young men as an African American male therapist. Additionally, Kenneth has experience providing mindfulness training focused on the whole brain to principals and administrators.

Kenneth loves the mountains, small creeks, and the breeze that comes through the trees on spring days. He enjoys taking in small moments of mindfulness and breath breaks amid busy days. Kenneth loves exploring bookstores, weird museums, and Korean BBQs. Currently, he is learning new hobbies as he learns Chicago.
