Mr. Witherspoon oversees H.E.L.P.’s Restorative Justice Practices initiatives to change the culture and climate of schools and improve student behavior by coaching educators, conducting professional staff development, and holding student peace circles at over 120 different public schools. He also supervises H.E.L.P.’s high-yield out-of-school time programming, which includes tutoring, homework assistance, mentoring, and SEL groups.

Mr. Witherspoon is a driven and compassionate social service executive with an entrepreneurial spirit. He is a sought-after administrator who has provided grant management and leadership over several Community school partnerships for the past two decades. His extensive experience in this area, with a special emphasis on addressing the needs of underserved residents in communities on the south side of Chicago, makes him a reliable and trusted professional.
